Year in Review

What a great year it has been for Recreate Fitness!  When we first started this gym we never imagined the incredible community that would grow out of this tiny space.  Nathan and I are so proud of all the accomplishments and progress that you have all made.  The strength gains, personal records and performances we've seen have exceeded even our wildest expectations.   As we prepare to move into a larger facility and embark on a new chapter in our growth we would like to take a moment to thank you all for being a part of the gym.  I have put together a little video recapping the last year. The year was full of great workouts, lots of fun, and best of all, new friendships.  I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed putting it together!  I can only hope that 2009 will be as great, inspiring and fun as the last year has been!

I would also like to thank everyone that took the time to send us their goals for 2009.  We want to help you all achieve and hopefully exceed the goals you have set for yourself in the coming year.  If you haven't sent us your goals yet, take the time to write them down and email them.  Remember to keep things realistic and we want performance based goals.  In the next few weeks we will be touching base with all of you to discuss them,  how to go about accomplishing them and possibly give you a few extra challenges to tackle in the new year.

Thanks to everyone that joined us for our last workout of the year!

Skill was:
pull-ups
12- heavy kettlebell swings
100 jumpropes or 20 double unders

Workout was:

how many rounds in 15 minutes

5 - kettlebell one arm swings (each arm)
5 - kettlebell snatches (each arm)
5 - burpees

Hi there!  Due to trademark issues we have had to find a new name for the gym.  Same place, different name.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that

Here is a new video that I put together of the gym.  We have a lot of new people visiting the site and I think that it gives a good idea of what we are about and how we do things around here at Everyday Athlete.  Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching!
